Atlas Table Lamp

The Atlas table lamp is designed by Swedish designer Mats Theselius and is produced in a limited edition in its own production under the name Nya Manufaktur. Each copy is numbered and signed by the designer himself. The table lamp gets its elegant design language from the minimalist construction and the solid choice of materials in the form of stainless steel.

Nya Manufaktur is an abbreviation of Mats Theselius Nya Manufakturaffär on Storgatan in Löderup. The family has their summer home and for 25 years he has run the manufactory's store, which has been used for exhibitions and in recent years has also functioned as a summer store. There, Theselius has offered objects from brands he has collaborated with, but also his own production of objects and printed matter. "It has been both interesting and fun, not least because I never otherwise have direct contact with the people who have my furniture," says Mats Theselius.

Nowadays, Nya Manufaktur publishes Mats Theselius' own production of objects. This includes the limited lighting series Atlas, which consists of this table lamp, a wall lamp and a floor lamp.

The Atlas collection is manufactured close to Theselius' studio and home in Löderup. The table lamp parts are laser cut by Kirseberg Plåt and Mekaniska in Malmö, nuts and screws are turned by Sundelius in Ystad and the table lamp's laser engraving is done by Laserverkstan in Arlöv. The production of the lamps in the series takes place in close collaboration with local workshops.
