In 1980, designer Gae Aulenti and award-winning architect Piero Castiglioni designed the Parola lamp series for FontanaArte. The Parola table lamp has a shade made of mouth-blown glass available in white as well as amber, the base is made of natural glass and the base of natural, beveled crystal. The combination of materials gives Parola an exclusive look. Because of the spherical shape of the shade as well as the material, the lamp provides a soft light that can be directed to a certain extent by positioning and rotation.
