1000 Karat Blau is a ceiling lamp designed in 2016 by designer Axel Schmid for Ingo Maurer. The lamp consists of gold plates handmade in Japan with a unique process where the thin gold plates are cast in acrylic. The gold disks allow light to be reflected in a beautiful way repeatedly. 1000 Karat Blau is the largest and most impressive lamp in the collection. Combine two or more for an impressive and unique look. Cable and metal rods in a fine red color. The lamp is part of the 24 Karat Blau series together with 24 Karat Blau Wall, 24 Karat Blau T, 24 Karat Blau M, 24 Karat Blau Floor and 24 Karat Blau.
