In 1988, John Duke invented a series of wooden rowing machines. Together with the machine's "Waterflywheel" he wanted to create the feeling of rowing on the real waves. The WaterRower Oxbridge is one of these unique machines. Thanks to the water resistance at each stroke, it helps to evenly load 84% of your muscle mass while preventing injuries. It is made of cherry wood that is finally treated with Danish oil that makes the surface sweat and water resistant. Keep in mind that solid wood can darken naturally over time.
The rowing machine comes with an S4 monitor that has a number of technical features to guide you during your workout. The monitor displays heart rate, total strokes, distance, duration, watts and calories burned per hour, among other things.
