Buds 2 is a table lamp from Foscarini, Italy, designed by Rodolfo Dordoni in 2016. It is the largest model in the Buds family and is characterised by its generous proportions and softly rounded form, with blown glass at the centre of the design.
The shade is made of hand-blown glass, carefully crafted in five layers and finished with a glossy surface. The multi-layered construction gives the glass a rich and expressive depth, while the glossy finish highlights the lamp’s rounded silhouette. The voluminous glass shade rests on a transparent base that creates visual lightness and allows the upper section to take a prominent role. The combination of five-layer blown glass, the transparent base and the generous size gives the Buds 2 table lamp a distinct material quality and a balanced, sculptural expression.
