Decorative Pillows & Cushion Covers

Decorative cushions and cushion covers are the details that elevate a room. They add both comfort and character, and can easily change the mood of a sofa, armchair, or bed. These carefully selected textile elements help define the expression of a sofa or bed and create balance against the room’s more permanent furnishings.

Cushions and covers – colours and materials that enhance the look

Working with textiles is an effective way to introduce variety into your interior design, and cushions and covers make it easy to refresh a room according to season or personal taste. Our selection offers a wide range of cushions in various colours, textures and patterns – from subtly monochromatic to more expressive and patterned options.

Cushion covers are available in materials such as cotton, linen, wool and velvet, allowing you to adapt the look to the room’s needs. Velvet brings a warm, tactile feel, while linen and cotton offer a lighter and more relaxed atmosphere. Our products come from renowned brands like HAY and include designs by creators such as Patricia Urquiola.

Proportions and volume – creating dynamic arrangements

At NO GA, you’ll find decorative cushions and covers in a variety of sizes, making it easy to tailor your selection to the furniture, room size and desired style.

The most common sizes in our range are 40x40 cm, 45x45 cm, 50x50 cm and 60x60 cm. Smaller cushions like 40x40 cm work well as accents in armchairs or to create variation in larger sofa setups. The standard 50x50 cm is a versatile option that suits most settings, while larger options like 60x60 cm offer a more generous and relaxed look – especially on lounge furniture or beds.

For a full and inviting result, we recommend choosing an inner cushion that is slightly larger than the cover – for example, 55x55 cm for a 50x50 cm cover. This gives better volume and shape, and prevents the cushion from appearing saggy or flat over time.

By mixing cushions in different sizes, you create depth and variation in the interior. Using both symmetry and contrast in the arrangement enhances the visual impact without making the space feel cluttered.

Patterned and decorative cushions

Decorative cushions are not only cosy additions to your sofa or bed, but can also be considered artistic details. By selecting patterned cushions or covers made from tactile materials, you bring visual depth and dynamics into the space. It’s a way to show personality without making major changes to the interior.

The number of cushions depends on the size of the room and the atmosphere you want to create. Often, three to five carefully selected cushions are enough to strike a balance, but you can easily build on the expression with more. By varying size, shape and material, you achieve a cohesive and intentional look.

For a considered interior design, it’s beneficial to pair cushions with other soft elements such as throws and blankets. These components combine to create a cosy environment where colours and textures complement each other. To accentuate the architecture of the room, we recommend combining the cushions with our rugs in matching tones and materials. Additional depth can be added through a curated selection of vases and sculptures as a contrast to the textiles.

Care and use for lasting quality

When cleaning decorative cushions and covers, it’s important to follow the care instructions for each individual product. Spot cleaning is often the gentlest method. Velvet should be treated with a soft brush or slightly damp cloth, while wool and other delicate materials require careful spot treatment with appropriate products.

Some decorative cushions can be used outdoors, but they are not meant for long-term exposure. For terraces or patios, we recommend cushions specifically designed for outdoor use that can withstand moisture and sunlight.
