String

The String shelf is an icon of Scandinavian design and one of the most beloved shelving systems from the 20th century. Designed in 1949 by the couple Nils "Nisse" and Kajsa Strinning, the String shelf has become synonymous with functionality and aesthetics in homes worldwide.

String Furniture

The String shelf was designed by the couple Nils and Kajsa Strinning in 1949 and has since become an icon of Scandinavian design. Originally created for a bookshelf competition organized by Bonniers folkbibliotek, it won the competition and immediately became popular thanks to its simple yet ingenious construction. Production of the String shelf ceased for a while but was resumed in 2004 when String Furniture AB was established. Over the years, String Furniture has evolved and expanded, but the core design philosophy has always remained the same: simplicity, functionality, and timeless beauty. String Furniture is not just a brand but a guarantee of high-quality design and durability. Their products are made from carefully selected materials such as steel and wood, ensuring both stability and elegance.

String Shelf

String shelves offer flexibility and simplicity in a minimalist package, perfect for modern interiors. Each part of the system is designed to be modular, allowing the shelves to be customized to your needs. Whether you need storage for books, kitchen items, or decorative objects, String shelves can be easily adapted to fit any space. At NO GA, you will find a wide range of wall shelves that combine both function and beauty.

Tables from String

String also offers desks that combine design and functionality, perfect for modern work environments. These desks are built with the same precision and attention to detail as all other String furniture, making them both practical and aesthetically pleasing. A particularly distinctive option is the String Works frame. This height-adjustable frame is part of the String Works series and offers a flexible and ergonomic work environment. The frame can be adjusted in height to suit different working positions and is perfect for the home office. Complete your String desk with a functional and elegant desk lamp from Flos for a perfect setup.
