The CH23 cushion is a specifically adapted seat cushion for the CH23 chair. The cushion is made entirely of leather in several colors and is reversible. CH23 is a chair designed in 1950 by Hans J. Wegner and manufactured by Carl Hansen & Søn. Made of solid oak or walnut, or a combination of both with a back of molded veneer. Several surface treatments are available. Seat of paper cord in either natural or black braid.
CH23 is an early example of Wegner's unique style and skilled craftsmanship. The chair incorporates a number of well-known design details, including the double-woven paper cord seat. Wegner was an expert at making complex designs look simple and CH23 is no exception, despite a number of unique details the chair still looks simple and light.
