Dusty Deco - Evolution from Collector to Design House

The brand Dusty Deco arose from a journey marked by a constant search for aesthetic quality. Founded by Lina Kjellvertz and Edin Kjellvertz, the story began with a passion for collecting and selling selected furniture and objects. This early involvement in interior design created a rapid expansion beyond the private home, where the interest in objects with character confirmed a broader demand. The fact that Edin and Lina only chose items they themselves wanted in their own home became the first step in defining Dusty Deco's visual identity.

From Industrial Aesthetics to Selected Design Objects

The initial phase for Dusty Deco was characterised by sourcing trips, primarily to the USA, focusing on industrial objects. Sales began in a small shop near Gärdet in Stockholm. The business grew quickly and later moved. Today, the store is located in Östermalm and shifted focus to selected design objects, furniture with a strong visual expression, and contemporary art.

Over the years, encounters with exciting people and new objects have provided more than just inspiration. Edin and Lina have carefully maintained a principle of only showcasing and selling items they genuinely appreciate. Their journey through the Swedish and international design field has been crucial for the brand's current position.

The Dusty Deco collection carries a distinctive expression by blending colonial references with design from 1960s/70s Italy.
