500 Table is a stylish table designed by Finn Juhl in 1958. It was originally designed for France & Son, but today it is produced by House of Finn Juhl. The table is made of solid oak or walnut and comes in two different sizes. The 500 Table is a good example of the style that has become so typical of Scandinavian design since the mid-20th century, with its simple, clean shapes that make it feel modern even today, despite the fact that it was designed over 70 years ago.
Like the Japan series, the 500 Table was originally developed in collaboration between Finn Juhl and France & Son. The table is designed to be suitable for mass production without affecting its quality. This concept worked successfully and during the 1950s France & Son accounted for 60% of all Danish furniture exports.
