Luna Piena is part of the Luci d'Oro series from Catellani Smith and is available as a ceiling lamp and a wall lamp. Luci d'Oro was created by Enzo Catellani with inspiration from the warmth and scale of the sun and fire and was presented in 2000 in Tribeca, New York. Luna Piena consists of a circular aluminum plate covered with shiny gold, silver, or copper leaves. A flexible metal arm aligned with the plate holds a dimmable LED lamp. The metal reflects the light from the lamp, helping to recreate the light from the sun and the golden light of fire that Catellani had in mind when he designed the lamp. Based on the lamp's name Luna, which means moon, one can only imagine that the silver version reflects the cold light of the moon.
