Nelson Cigar Wall Sconce is an oblong wall lamp by George Nelson for Herman Miller - sold by Danish HAY. The wall lamp is part of the extensive Nelson Bubble Lamps series of lamps, which are available in a range of varying shapes and sizes. Since they all come in off-white color and are manufactured under exactly the same conditions, they can be beautifully placed in one and the same interior to create a tasteful dynamic and contrast. Comes with a white PVC cable. Light source not included.
The cocoon-like shell is spun over a thin metal body, which makes the lamps in the Nelson Bubble series very light while giving them a very exclusive feel. At the same time, the light is diffused in a pleasant way, which also makes the entire wall lamp appear almost glowing. The lamps were designed as early as 1952 and feel just as relevant then as now.
