An exclusive quartet
GamFratesi was founded in 2006 and consists of architects Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi. Together they designed the Beetle chair for Danish Gubi, which quickly became a popular favourite when it was launched in 2013.
As the name suggests, the inspiration comes from the beetle's shape and anatomy, with a thicker shell enclosing a soft interior. Now the design duo is paying tribute to their already iconic chair with four exclusive variants in brand new materials and colours in what they call GamFratesi Edit.
The quartet consists of a deep green chenille, a beautiful grey bouclé and a soft Italian velvet in beige on black legs. The fourth version of the Beetle has antique brass legs and is upholstered in a combination of bouclé and chenille that creates a texture with two different tones of creamy white.
