Det långsamma parfymeriet

The slow perfumery

The term "slow perfumery" is not the most established, but the meaning is clear, especially when the sender is the New York-based boutique perfumery Le Labo.

“We believe the soul of a fragrance comes from the intention with which it is created and the attention with which it is prepared.”

The inspiration for the perfume came from their scented candle Santal 26, which for a long time was supposed to be just a scented candle, but due to its immense popularity, both founders felt that a perfume with the same scent was inevitable. "We believe the soul of a fragrance comes from the intention with which it is created and the attention with which it is prepared" from Le Labo's manifesto, 2021.

The scented candles form a strong base in Le Labo's catalogue. Just like their perfumes, they are extremely popular and have a thorough craftsmanship behind them. The scented candles are handmade in Mississippi with a soy-based wax and the wick is made from pure cotton. Currently, there are a total of 12 different scented candles. 10 of these can now be found at Nordiska Galleriet together with a number of exclusive hair and skin care products.

De mjuka formernas revolution

The revolution of soft forms

It's as if a revolution has rolled in and taken over our homes. The same movement has also hit public spaces and not least our Instagram feeds. The shapes are accompanied by materials that feel as inviting as a soft and warm fur on a chilly winter day or a knitted mohair sweater against bare skin.
