Eames - Basic Art Series is a book that describes how Eames design symbolizes modernist perfection. Charles Eames and Ray Kaiser Eames, a creative couple, redefined the visual landscape of America. The couple's work, spanning furniture design, architecture, textiles, photography and film, paved the way for a new multifunctional modernity. They are perhaps best known for their furniture design, with the Eames Lounge Chair Wood, created using shaped plywood technique, standing as an iconic piece of furniture from the 20th century.

Through the Case Study Houses project, they introduced the innovative use of industrial materials and flexible floor plans that came to define post-war modern architecture. This book explores the Eames duo's extensive body of work and their seminal influence on middle-class American living, from the early experiments with furniture to the seminal short film "Powers of Ten."
