The Walt Disney Film Archives - 40 series is a book about Disney animation that brings together hundreds of images and texts by Disney experts and takes us to the heart of the studio's Golden Age of Animation. We'll follow Disney's full journey from the era of silent films, through his first feature film, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs; from 1937 and Fantasia from 1940 to his last masterpieces Winnie the Pooh on a Honey Hunt from 1966 and The Jungle Book in 1967. Through extensive research carried out at the Walt Disney Company's historical archive, but also private collections, Author Daniel Kothenschulte has collected some of the most valuable illustrations to reveal how these animations were brought to life. The book contains rare images taken by Disney photographers that provide a unique insight into the studio's creative process.
