The Coupé 1159 lamp was designed by the world-famous Italian designer Joe Colombo in 1967 for Oluce. The wall lamp is part of the Coupé range, which was developed to complement the Spider lighting range designed two years earlier. Like the lamps in the Spider range, Coupé 1159 has a curved metal frame and a painted aluminum shade. What distinguishes the curved wall lamp is, among other things, the semi-circular shade in black or white lacquered aluminum. The Coupé 1159 looks as modern today as it did when it was launched over 50 years ago. It also has a practical design that allows the body to be moved both horizontally and vertically. The Coupé 1159 also has a rotatable shade, allowing you to choose between direct or indirect light.Coupé is a prize-winning range of lamps that is part of the permanent collections of renowned institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Neue Sammlung Museum in Munich.
