The Swedish brand Klong was established by Eva Hjertberg in Lidingö, outside Stockholm, in 2000. While safeguarding classics, Klong seeks to amaze and change the things we take for granted by adding a new twist.

Founder Eva Hjertberg is interested in color and shape, but since she is not a designer herself, she hires designers for Klong. Klong’s first design collaboration was with Jonas Bohlin, one of Sweden’s leading designers. He created a collection of silverware that remains immensely popular today. The name Klong comes from the Swedish word for a sound. Just like a sound that lingers, the company’s vision is to create products that are timeless and enduring.

Classic Swedish design

Klong attaches great importance to collaborating with designers, shapers and architects who want to create their own styles without following trends. As a result of successful collaboration with Swedish interior designers, furniture makers and other designers, today Klong produces everything from creative indoor and outdoor furniture to interior accessories, and from playful lighting to stylish cutlery.

The Gloria candle holder is one of Klong’s most popular products. With its spherical shape, it is a favorite around Christmas and was designed by Broberg and Ridderstråle. Today, Klong continues to sell a wide range of Swedish-designed home furnishings that appeal to a wide range of customers from different backgrounds and personalities. To celebrate 15 years since its inception, Klong is introducing an innovative collection of products, each with the potential to become a future classic. A challenge to create products with distinctive, beautiful design that is both unique and enduring. The collection consists of furniture, luminaires and interior accessories. All carefully selected to fit the vision of innovation, playfulness and care.
