Nessino is a table lamp designed in 2003 by Giancarlo Mattioli and Gruppo Architetti Urbanisti Città Nuova for Artemide. The lamp has a playful design with rounded shapes and clean lines. Both lamp base and shade are made of polycarbonate with a glossy surface. Nessino is available in two colours, white and orange, both of which emit a dull, warm light which is suitable as reading or spot lighting in, for example, the living room. Light source not included.
Nessino is based on the Nesso lamp designed by Giancarlo Mattioli and Gruppo Architetti in 1967, but is slightly smaller in size. Nesso is exhibited at New York's Museum of Modern Art, MoMA, among others.
