The FK11 Plico Chair was created by Preben Fabricius Jørgen Kastholm in 1963 for the Danish brand Carl Hansen Søn. The armchair's frame is made of solid oak and steel and has cushions in 100% linen Natural Canvas fabric. FK11 Plico Chair has straps and armrests in core leather and brass fittings. Choose between oiled or white oiled finish on the wood.
The FK11 Plico Chair was first presented in 1964 when it won the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Furniture award for its outstanding craftsmanship and appearance. The idea behind the Plico Chair was to create a piece of furniture that takes up as little space as possible when not in use without compromising on comfort. Plico means "to fold" in Latin, which fits the armchair well with the adjustable backrest that can be folded in completely. The Plico Chair is also available in the FK11 version.
