Shadow is a floor lamp from Catellani Smith, part of the Oggetti senza Tempo series. The series is a collection of Enzo Catellani's early designs and futures, developed more for the simple pleasure of making something more than a lamp. Shadow is made from a matte black copper rod that illuminates a piece of brass metal canvas that, as the name suggests, creates a shadow against the wall. The lamp is dimmable, and the canvas can be freely shaped to the desired result. Shadow should be placed against an empty wall for best effect, the lamp itself can be likened to an art installation. Exclusively handmade in Italy, right on the banks of the Serio River in the Bergamo area.
