Kosta Boda is a Swedish company founded in 1742 and has almost 300 years of experience in working with glass. The company was founded by Anders Koskull and George Bogislaus Stael von Holstein, two governors and former generals of King Charles XII's army. Kosta Boda as we know it today was formed by a merger of the glassworks in Kosta, Boda and Åfors. Kosta Boda is thus the oldest active glassworks in Sweden, producing modern lifestyle products and inspiring art in an innovative way with great craftsmanship.

The range consists of two parts, Kosta Boda collection and Kosta Boda art glass. The Kosta Boda collection focuses on everyday life and includes serving - glasses, carafes, bowls, plates and saucers - and interior - decorative objects, candle lanterns and vases. Drawing inspiration from contemporary art, fashion and music, the products are designed to create a pleasurable and accessible range for everyday life and celebration. The collection also draws on history to create a range with depth, and has been designed in collaboration with designers such as Signe Persson-Melin, Erik Höglund and others.

Kosta Boda art glass includes exclusive glass artworks in collaboration with our most famous artists as well as new designers and artists. This has resulted in an assortment that ranges from art for a wider audience, the Artist Collection, to special editions and completely unique objects. The love of glass is expressed in countless expressions that continue to surprise, both in unique techniques and glass designs. Every year, over a million people visit the company's glassworks in Kosta Glasbruk. Konst Art Gallery, the company's art gallery designed by renowned designer Bruno Mathsson, is another attractive destination.

Since 1989, the brand has been part of Orrefors Kosta Boda AB and from 2005 also part of the New Wave Group, which specializes in three segments: business, sports & leisure and gifts & home furnishings. With Swedish design tradition at its core, the company's designs have reached far beyond the country's borders and continues to be a leading manufacturer of glass products.
