Base Table is a larger rectangular table that in 2014 was given its shape by Mika Tolvanen. Base Table is manufactured by the Danish brand Muuto and thanks to the different sizes of the table, it is multifunctional as it can be used as a conference table, dining table or work table. The top of the table is manufactured in MDF, with a top surface in white or sand-colored laminate and white plastic edges, or in plywood with a top surface in white or sand-colored laminate, oak veneer or black linoleum. The base is made of extruded aluminum and comes in a black, beige or white lacquered surface in an extra durable acrylic paint.

Mika Tolvanen, who designed the table, aimed to make a pretty table that was also robust and strong. The result was the Base Table, which has a welcoming and friendly expression. The boards, which have edges in plywood, create a contrasting expression to the top of the table top. Base Table is also available as a higher bar table and as a round table.
