The Plane Short Chandelier is a later version of the Plane Chandelier from the Plane lamp collection that Tom Dixon originally designed in 2014 for his brand under his own name. With the same characteristics as the original, this chandelier has a brass-plated and reinforced steel frame with four double-layered white glass balls that are distributed over two levels, thus creating a triangle-like formation.
In creating the Plane lamp collection, Tom Dixon explored how simple geometric shapes can create a minimalist and sculptural aesthetic by working with opposites. In Plane we see how the flat and round, the shiny and the matte meet each other and create a chandelier that creates a dynamic both over the dining table and in the bedroom, or in a public environment such as in a hotel or restaurant.
