Arne Jacobsen created the iconic 3107 Series 7 chair for Fritz Hansen in 1955.Although over 60 years have passed since the Series 7 was introduced, the design is still as relevant today, as the strong demand will confirm. The chair is available in a variety of finishes, for this version the Series 7 comes with a clear front.
The Series 7 has an attractive curved shell with a seat and backrest created in one piece using a revolutionary technique for its time. Nine layers of fan and two layers of Indian cotton have been molded into their true shape. This has given the chair its comfortable flexibility and neat silhouette. The shell is available in a wide range of materials and finishes. The chair has thin legs made of chrome-plated steel and is stackable for up to twelve chairs.
Series 7 3107 is a refinement of Arne Jacobsen's popular Ant chair and has become Fritz Hansen's most popular chair. Nordiska Galleriet was the first owner of Series 7 in Sweden, and the chair is currently our most popular piece.
