It's as if a revolution has rolled in and taken over our homes. The same movement has also hit public spaces and not least our Instagram feeds. The revolution comes in soft shapes, with curved contours and it is as if all straight lines and sharp corners have been eliminated in favour of the opposite. In the small Italian town of Udine, craftsman Agostino Moroso founded a furniture workshop with his wife Diana in the post-war years. The year was 1952 and the business was largely a small-scale production of mainly simple wooden furniture made with the help of local artisans. Almost 70 years have passed since then, and the company has grown into a global and innovative design brand that has enjoyed great international success and has received numerous awards for its strong design. The simple wooden chairs may have been replaced by strong furniture with bold expressions, but just like at the beginning, Moroso is still a family business, with generation numero due carrying on the legacy.

After completing his military service in Finland, he was actually on his way to Barbados, but life demanded otherwise and he ended up in Stockholm where he started a family. And although he had done some drawing when he was younger, there were no plans to study art. Then - during secondary school - he made comics that he published in fanzines. And he himself says that you can see traces of that in his art today, the comic strip has followed and become the often recurring squares in his work.
