Georg Jensen has an early interest in metalsmithing and chooses to move to Copenhagen and work as an apprentice at a goldsmithäs. In 1895, he began studying sculpture at the Royal Danish Academy of Arts and later worked at a porcelain factory before starting his own business in 1904.For over a hundred years, the various design collaborations have been intertwined. Since its inception, Georg Jensen has collaborated with world-leading designers such as Arne Jacobsen, Helle Damkjær, Sigvard Bernadotte, Henning & Nina Koppel, Jørgen Møller and Verner Panton.
