Akari 33N is a pendant lamp by Vitra designed by Isamu Noguchi in 1951. The lamp is suspended with a structure of steel and is handmade in shoji paper, paper made from the bark of mulberry trees.Akari 33N is part of the Akari lamp range, a range of lamps designed by Noguchi and handmade by Japanese craftsmen. Noguchi's work is artistically linked to abstract expressionism and his design style came to have a great influence on 1950s design.All lamps in the Akari range are handmade by Japanese craftsmen and marked with a logo representing the sun and moon, reinforcing the authenticity of each product.
