Edra
In 1997, Edra began collaboration with Fernando and Humberto Campana. The initiative resulted in the Vermelha chair, made from 500 meters of hand-knitted rope. The brand produced a number of products with complex production methods, such as the Flower Collection furniture designed in 1989 by Japanese architect Masanori Umeda and the design objects designed by Zaha Hadid in 1987 early in her career. The brand also has exceptional collaboration with Francesco Binfaré. The collaboration saw the design of the iconic Flap sofa and the Chiara lounge chair, with proprietary technology to achieve high levels of comfort. Binfaré also designed the Pack sofa, awarded the best product award at the Salone del Mobile in 2017.

Striking, immensely practical design
Edra has made a name for itself in the world of design today because of its good quality. The brand designs products for private homes, public spaces and international museums. The design is dynamic in a way that makes it fit into different environments and interiors. The furniture combines a high level of artistry with innovative technology, exclusive materials and good craftsmanship. Since its inception, Edra has succeeded in building a brand identity based on its vision of combining beauty with personal well-being. The eye-catching and exciting pieces are as much sculptures as functional pieces. Edra’s works are now in the permanent collections of museums such as MoMA in New York, Centre Pompidou and Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, to name a few.
