Favela is a whimsical armchair designed by Fernando and Humberto Campana for the Italian company Edra in 2003. The armchair is influenced by the houses in the Brazilian favelas, cleverly constructed with overlapping planks of differing dimensions and materials. Favela is made entirely by hand from natural wood intentionally nailed and glued together in a random pattern. This makes each armchair unique. Favela is available in pine or teak, with the teak version also suitable for outdoor use.
