The 646 Leggera chair from Cassina was designed in 1952 by Gio Ponti, with the aim of creating a chair that would stand firmly without the traditional wooden cross between the legs of the chair. The production resulted in Leggera, whose simple wooden frame and straight lines were unique when it came onto the market. 646 Leggera is easy to adapt to different environments while being light and comfortable. Leggera 646 is also available in a version with a slanted seat. The chair is a design favorite with us at Nordiska Galleriet, and we furnish the halls with all Leggera's in our collection, making it a testament to the skilled Italian craftsmanship we celebrate.
